Sophie’s grandmother lives in the West of Ireland. She has always been youthful, fun and a rock of sense for Sophie. But her nephew is pressuring her to sell her house and Granny isn’t sure if she has the strength to fight him off for much longer.
Learning to Fly is a nice easy read. Hosty’s characters are engaging and the book evokes a good sense of place, as Hosty describes Dublin and the West of Ireland to a tee.
