Kitty Kennedy is divorced twice. Well, technically speaking that’s one annulment and one divorce – but she’s just in her early 30s. With two failed marriages behind her, Kitty has decided that some women are just not meant to live with a man. Inspired by New Year’s Eve Kitty decides that her resolution will be to become a mistress. That way she gets all the benefits of marriage without its drawbacks – the only problem is going to be in finding the right man.

Kitty’s younger sister Sunny, a part-time actress and full time nothing, thinks that Kitty has really lost it this time. Men are only a diversion to Sunny, something to play with while she waits for Hollywood to call.

Kitty’s best friend Rose has an entirely different New Year’s Eve experience which involved a man 10 years younger than she is. Riddled with doubt about the age gap, Rose doesn’t want to risk getting her heart broken again.

Temptation is Martina Devlin at her best. It’s a wickedly funny book with a lead character who is totally believable. You just can’t put it down. The Techie
