Pamela and Dave have been married for seven years, meeting while in college and surviving together as two starving artists. Eventually the world wore them down and now they have jobs as a hospital administrator and interior designer. After five years of gruelling IVF treatment, and still no sign of a longed for baby, their marriage is most definitely on the rocks. Her London friends think she’s insane – but how far is Pamela prepared to go for a baby? And how much more can her marriage survive?
How Was It For You? is light hearted relief. Hilarious in parts, it addresses real issues without ever taking on too serious a note. Carmen Reid has done an excellent job with her third novel.
