Grace Tynan has it all – a successful career as an estate agent, a solid marriage to Ewan, two beautiful twin boys and a lovely house to live in. but one day life takes a turn for the different when an old woman brandishing a shotgun changes Grace’s life for ever.

Grace starts shoplifting for thrills, and when the gorgeous young Adam accidentally damages her car she can’t help being tempted. Gradually alarm bells start going off as her friends watch Grace give up work, stop shaving, forget where the hairdressers is and appear in public wearing a kimono.

Grace is happy, though, as she recognises that years of a solid marriage does not necessarily make for a happy life and briefly she forgets about all her responsibilities.

Any woman can relate to Amazing Grace – if any of us were given the chance we’d do exactly what she does. While Dowling does make some of the scenes a little bit far fetched, Amazing Grace is a wonderful fantasy read. The Techie
