Keelan has left home and is living in London. On her first big night out she meets Matthew and they seem to be made for each other. Matthew is gorgeous and Keelan can’t believe that he would want to be with her so, when he decides that the relationship is over, Keelan isn’t surprised. In fact she’s just annoyed with him, so annoyed that when she discovers she’s pregnant she chooses not to tell him.

Everyone thinks Keelan should give Matt a chance and eventually she does, but babies bring sleepless nights and lots of crying and all of a sudden things are going downhill again.

Matt doesn’t seem to know what he wants and Keelan isn’t much better.

This debut novel from Irish author Gemma English is fun. Occasionally you do want to bang the two main character’s heads together but you keep on turning the pages.

Perfect for the beach. The Techie
